Announcing our Brand new podcast: AuthenTEch conversations

Artificial intelligence, immersive technology, and simulation are creating new possibilities for educator preparation and professional learning.

They are also raising bigger questions: Where can these tools genuinely improve teaching and learning? What risks should we be paying attention to? And how do we make sure technology strengthens, rather than diminishes, the human relationships at the center of education?

Those questions are at the heart of AuthenTECH Conversations, a new podcast from BranchED’s Center for Authentic Practice.

Hosted by Cassandra Herring, CEO of BranchED and AuthenTECH Practice, AuthenTECH Conversations brings together educators, researchers, practitioners, and innovators to explore the rapidly changing intersection of technology and educator development.

Through AuthenTECH Conversations, we’ll explore those questions and more, including purposeful practice, AI-enabled coaching and feedback, immersive learning, educator preparation, family engagement, responsible technology design, and the emerging research about what actually improves educator practice.

This will not be a podcast about technology for technology’s sake. It will be a place to examine where these tools can help, where they may fall short, and what thoughtful implementation should look like.

Our starting point is simple: technology should strengthen the human dimensions of teaching and learning.

We hope AuthenTECH Conversations helps move that conversation forward.
